What are the general admission requirements for FEDPODAM for the 2025/2026 academic session?
To gain admission into the Federal Polytechnic Damaturu (FEDPODAM) for the 2025/2026 academic session, candidates must:
Possess at least five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained at not more than two sittings in WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB.
Have chosen FEDPODAM as their first or second choice institution in the 2025 JAMB UTME.
Score the minimum cut-off mark set by the Polytechnic in the UTME examination.
Participate and perform well in the FEDPODAM Post-UTME screening exercise.
What are the specific requirements for admission into ND and HND programmes at FEDPODAM?
National Diploma (ND): Candidates must meet the general entry requirements, including a suitable JAMB UTME score and relevant O’level credits.
Higher National Diploma (HND): Applicants must possess a National Diploma (ND) certificate in a related field from a recognized institution with at least a Lower Credit (CGPA of 2.50) and must have completed a one-year industrial training (IT) attachment. Candidates with a Pass (CGPA below 2.50) must show proof of at least two years of relevant post-ND experience.
Does FEDPODAM accept candidates who did not choose the Polytechnic in JAMB?
Yes. Candidates who did not initially choose Federal Polytechnic Damaturu in their JAMB application can still apply. However, they must first complete a JAMB Change of Institution process to make FEDPODAM their first choice before proceeding with the Post-UTME registration and screening.
