FAQs
What is the JAMB cut-off mark for KUST (now KUST Wudil) for the 2025/2026 admission?
The official JAMB cut-off mark for KUST Wudil for the 2025/2026 academic session is generally 160 and above, depending on the programme. Candidates who score 160+ in JAMB are eligible to apply for the Post-UTME screening, except for competitive courses that may require higher scores.
What are the departmental cut-off marks for major courses at KUST for 2025/2026?
Departmental cut-off marks vary by faculty and course. For the 2025/2026 session, the expected cut-off ranges are:
Engineering courses: 180 – 200
Sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Physics): 160 – 180
Computer Science: 170 – 190
Agriculture-related courses: 160 – 170
Management/Arts courses: 160 and above
These may change after the Post-UTME, depending on applicant performance.
Can I gain admission into KUST with a score below the departmental cut-off mark?
No. Even if you meet the general JAMB cut-off, failing to meet the departmental cut-off mark means you are not eligible for admission into that specific course. However, you may still be considered for another less competitive programme if you applied for a change of course.
How does KUST calculate its final admission cut-off mark?
KUST uses a combination of JAMB score, Post-UTME/Screening score, and sometimes O’level grades. These components are weighted to determine the final aggregate score. Candidates with the highest aggregates within each department are offered admission until the quota is filled.
